The Restraining Order Help Center is on the lower level of the Family Court at Park Center Plaza in downtown San Jose.
Here you can get information on how to get a restraining order, on temporary shelter, on counseling, and other help you might need. It is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.mm to 4 p.m. It is closed 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. for lunch.

This South County Center is only open on Thursdays, hours 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Closed from 12:30-1:30.)

The Court also has a traveling Self-Service Center called CourtMobile. It goes to locations around Santa Clara County on a monthly schedule.
You do not need an appointment for these Self Service Centers. If you already have a Court case, bring copies of all papers in your Court file.

The purpose of the network is to help all who need help to live free from domestic violence. Services include a 24-hour toll-free crisis line, an emergency shelter, counseling, information and referrals, support groups, safety planning, legal services and community education presentations. Services are completely confidential, are either free or low-cost, and are offered in both Spanish and English.
